Hello! I'm Alfred Escorpiso (he/him), a freelance photographer. I am a double Husky from the University of Washington-Seattle, earning both my undergraduate and graduate degrees without any quarter breaks. Apart from my passion for photography and academia, I enjoy traveling and exploring locations with aesthetic scenery, playing tennis and video games with friends, or spending quality time with family and friends.
I have always been passionate about photography, particularly Urban and Landscape Photography, focusing on nature scenery. However, navigating through life and future plans caused me to lose touch with my passion and gradually move away from photography. During my university years, especially amid COVID-19, I had the opportunity to reflect on old hobbies, reigniting my interest in improving my photography skills. I researched various tips and tricks to enhance my photo quality and expanded my focus to include Portrait Photography.
Joining The Kompany as a photographer resulted in numerous improvements in my ability to pose subjects, identify optimal angles and lighting, and overall enhance photographic outcomes. Subsequently, I began conducting graduation photoshoots and experimented with various backgrounds for portraits. Currently, I am dedicated to refining my craft and striving towards a professional photography career.
For me, photography started as a hobby but has evolved into more than just a passion and work — it's my way of capturing fleeting moments in time. Like many aspiring photographers, I aim to convey narratives through single photographs.
